When you think of "green electricity", the first thing may imagine is a row of solar panels on the roof of a house. While energy produced by these panels is "green" as in, it generates no greenhouse gas emissions, green electricity is generally better known as the electric energy from renewable sources that is supplied to the main electricity grid.
