A question for builders or people practices?

What is your opinion about "kit homes steel cons of property already built? EG .. Electricity and plumbing .. Also we would have solar panels and water tanks that we live in a warm and tropical would advanced well placed trees insulation.We must buy the land and then build on that base .... What do you consider all the pros and cons of this situation? Thank you. (I know there are many disadvantages .. telephone, council approval, site, soil etc.. .. But still wondering is really cheaper or punishment .. we are used to living rough.)

Since I do not live in Oz, and does not really contribute anything this is useful insofar as the advantages and disadvantages, I'll just throw my opinion. I looked several places that steel kit homes in Australia and I can honestly say that I think they are really, really well. If I could have a house like that here in the United States, I would probably with one, since the price is so good for what you get. I do not know whether the recession affecting the United States hit you there, however, that matters Housing prices rise. Currently, for those ready to buy, there are many bargains - we certainly have the market a buyer here. Is this the same thing there? If so, you may want to look around a bit before you commit one way or another - you may be able to find something that is close to your dream home, and simply add what you want him. Or it may save you money if you go the DIY route. The closest thing we have here where I live is Log Homes built from kits. On the positive side, as in any DIY project, is that things end up as you wish from the outset. The downside is that I do not know anyone who has built one where the price of the offer ended up being the real price - there always seems to cost more along the line someone forgot to take into account in. neat houses, though, those steel ones kit.
